Bedford, NH– Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc. (Sanborn Head) has announced key senior leadership promotions and board changes, effective January 2026, recognizing the firm’s commitment to excellence and professional growth.

Senior Promotions

Jonathan Hillman, PE has been promoted to Project Director. Hillman joined Sanborn Head in 2019 as a mechanical engineer in the Energy Client Service Area and has since advanced to senior project roles. Known for his technical expertise, integrity, and mentorship, Hillman has led several major design projects and continues to foster professional development within the firm.

Derek Long, PE has also been promoted to Project Director. Long joined the firm in 2014 as a civil engineer in the Solid Waste Client Service Area. A trusted leader, he manages complex solid waste projects while maintaining strong client relationships. Long was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Southern New England Chapter.
Board Leadership Changes

Sean Murphy, PG has been elected to the firm’s Board of Directors for a three-year term as an internal director, replacing Kevin Stetson, PE, who completed his term. Murphy brings fresh insights and a commitment to Sanborn Head’s culture and values.

Charlie Head, PE, PG and Barret Cole, PG, LEP were re-elected to the Board for one-year and three-year terms, respectively, continuing their contributions to firm leadership.
The current board now includes internal directors Heather James, PE, and Tricia Pinto, PE, LSP, LEP, alongside external directors Alena DeLosReyes and John Marczewski, PE.
