Robert Stone Joins BOND as Director of Preconstruction Healthcare and Life Sciences


BOSTONBOND, a building, civil, utility and energy construction firm, announced the hiring of Robert Stone, the new Director of Preconstruction, Healthcare and Life Sciences. Bob is an important addition to BOND as the company continues to expand and strengthen its healthcare and life science service offerings throughout the Northeast.

In this newly created role, Bob will use his extensive industry experience to ensure clients’ needs are addressed and resolved early on, leading to a smooth and efficient construction process. He has more than 35 years’ experience focused in preconstruction, estimating and value engineering for highly-complex laboratory, biopharmaceutical and high-tech manufacturing clients. This diverse background gives him a keen understanding of client needs.

Prior to joining BOND, Bob served as Chief Estimator at The Richmond Group, a construction management and design-build firm specializing in life science facilities. He also served as Director of Preconstruction Services at The Martins Companies as well as Chief Estimator at Walsh Brothers, Inc. His project portfolio includes clients such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Biomedical, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Mt. Auburn Hospital and The Ragon Institute.

Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.  He also holds E.I.T certification and a 30-hour OSHA certification.  A resident of Carlisle, Massachusetts, he is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and American Society of Civil Engineers.
