Baltimore — RMF Engineering, a full-service MEP engineering firm, has announced the addition of three new company shareholders: Raquel Deschler, PE; Stephanie Lafontaine, PE, LEED AP; and Chris Skillestad, PE.

Borkowicz, PE, President of RMF Engineering. “Raquel, Stephanie, and Chris each exemplify the caliber of performance that drives RMF’s success, and this invitation to join in our shared ownership recognizes their distinguished careers and bright futures.”
Raquel Deschler, PE, is a mechanical design team lead based in RMF’s Charleston, South Carolina office and joined the firm in 2018. She has become a technical and business leader in the higher education and K–12 markets and has authored numerous published articles. Deschler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Providence College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
Stephanie Lafontaine, PE, LEED AP, joined RMF in 2020 and leads the mechanical design team in the firm’s Boston office. Known for her passion for engineering and team development, Lafontaine has played a key role in the rapid and profitable growth of the Boston division. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Chris Skillestad, PE, has been with RMF since 2014 and leads the electrical infrastructure design team in the Raleigh, North Carolina Infrastructure Division. A recognized subject matter expert in medium-voltage electric distribution, Skillestad has also been instrumental in supporting medium-voltage commissioning efforts for RMF’s U.S. Department of State projects abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
All three new shareholders are graduates of RMF’s Project Management and Leadership Development Programs, which focus on strengthening leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen across disciplines.
