STONEHAM, MA — RJOC, a Stoneham, MA-based civil engineering and land development firm with a strong presence across the Northeast, has appointed Brian Dundon as its new president. A founding principal of the firm, Dundon will lead RJOC’s strategic direction while continuing to oversee daily operations, signaling a key milestone in the company’s evolution.
Dundon succeeds Rich O’Connell, who founded the firm and whose name remains integral to RJOC’s identity and legacy. O’Connell will continue to be actively involved with the company, ensuring continuity as RJOC advances its multifamily and commercial development practice.
“I am honored to step into this role and build upon the strong foundation initially established by Rich O’Connell,” Dundon said. “Our commitment to delivering exceptional engineering solutions, maintaining close client partnerships, and providing hands-on principal involvement in every project will remain our guiding principles as we move forward.”
With more than 35 years of experience in land development and civil engineering, Dundon brings deep technical expertise and leadership to the presidency. Over the course of his career, he has managed a wide range of projects—from 10,000-square-foot developments to large-scale projects exceeding 500,000 square feet—overseeing all phases of site and civil engineering services from early planning through construction completion.
“Brian has been a driving force behind RJOC’s success since the beginning,” said O’Connell, founding principal. “His leadership, technical excellence, and client-focused approach make him the ideal person to guide the company into its next chapter. I look forward to continuing our work together in delivering the high-quality services our clients have come to expect.”
Founded on a reputation for hands-on leadership and close collaboration with clients, RJOC has built a strong portfolio of multifamily and commercial projects throughout the Northeast. The leadership transition underscores the firm’s focus on continuity, long-term growth, and maintaining the high standards that have defined its work since its inception.
