Cambridge, MA – Cushman & Wakefield announced that the real estate services firm’s Multi-Family Advisory Group has been retained on an exclusive basis to market  the Cambridge Connection, an exceptional portfolio consisting of ten historic buildings strategically located between Harvard Square and Porter Square in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Totaling nearly 85,000 square feet, the properties are located at 7, 9, 11, 13, 17-21 Mellen Street; 6 Sacramento Street; 1627 Massachusetts Avenue; and 815 Somerville Avenue.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Chris Sower, Bruce Lusa, Jonathan Bryant, John Flaherty, Kevin Jones, Brian Doherty, Dave Pergola, Pete Rogers, Tom Sullivan and Ross Fishman will be marketing the assets on behalf of Lesley University.

Lesley University, which currently owns the properties, recently announced its plans to make major investments in its three Cambridge campuses to transform its learning environment and public spaces for University and community benefit.  As part of its plan, Lesley announced its intention to sell buildings which were no longer suited to its programmatic needs.

“Institutionally owned and maintained, this portfolio presents immense value-add potential through the lease-up of vacant commercial space, the potential redevelopment to multi-family residential and condominium conversions and the potential for new ground-up residential construction, among other options and strategies,” said Sower. “We are excited to be working with Lesley University to offer Cambridge Connection as a single portfolio, sub-portfolios or individual properties.”
