BOSTON–The Institute of Real Estate Management Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 announced individual and corporate award recipients for 2023 at its Annual Holiday Celebration held last month at The Liberty in Boston.
Patrcia Dolmo with JMC&CO was honored with the DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Individual Award of the Year recognition. Dolmo, a native of Honduras, moved to the U.S. in 2004. She joined JMC&CO in 2015 as a receptionist-intern, and in short time was elevated to the position of Property Accountant and subsequently as an Account Payable Specialist. She is an original member of the company’s DEI Committee.
The DEI Company Award of the Year went to John M. Corcoran & Co. for its dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and for making an indelible impact on IREM Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 through an array of initiatives. From insightful workshops and training sessions that address unconscious bias, to impactful awareness campaigns celebrating various cultural heritage months, the company’s efforts have amplified the importance of inclusivity at every level.
The 2023 Friend of the Year/Industry Partner of the Year honor was awarded to Maria Benway, the Vice President of Sales and National Accounts at ServiceMaster by Gilmore. Benway is actively involved in all levels of business development and trade groups and continues to develop relationships with property managers and maintenance personnel within the multi-family industry as well as the condominium and apartment industry. She has been a member of IREM for 17 years and the chair of the Friends of IREM committee for 11 years.
Anthony Susi, the Director of Property Management at The Simon Companies, was named 2023 CPM of the Year. He has been an active member of IREM since 2014 and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM). Susi has served on the Boston Chapter Executive Board since 2018 as Chair of Income & Expense Committee, Chair of Audit & Oversight Committee, Golf Committee, Human Resource & Financial Task Force. He is currently an Officer of the Boston Chapter holding the position of Treasurer, incoming 2024 Vice President, and appointed on the 2024 IREM National Foundation Board of Directors.
Laura Francis, a Regional Director with Trinity Management LLC was named 2023 ARM of the Year. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for NEAHMA and is ARM, C6P, SCHM, and NAHP-e certified. She is also a two-time recipient of her company’s Diamond Award, for her extensive and invaluable contributions to the company.
