Wakefield, MA– Hobbs Brook Real Estate (HBRE) announced that it has signed a new, 51,751-square-foot lease with Eastern Bank at The Edge Campus, located at 601 Edgewater Drive in Wakefield, MA.
The financial services firm is slated to commence office operations at the property upon move-in in Q3 of 2025. This new lease agreement positions the firm to make substantial investments in modernizing and enhancing property amenities for the benefit of tenants and end users across the entire campus.

This lease agreement represents a significant milestone for The Edge campus, highlighting Hobbs Brook Real Estate’s continued dedication to investing in its assets. As part of this commitment, the firm is currently revitalizing both 601 and 701 Edgewater. At 601, plans include a complete renovation of the café that will transform it into a full-service space and be available for all tenants to utilize, as well as a comprehensive upgrade to the property’s fitness center offering and addition of an activated outdoor space. At 701, a state-of-the-art conference center is being developed that will feature multiple breakout rooms and available to all tenants operating across the park.

The property sits next to a 540-acre conservation marshland, where tenants can enjoy a 1.3-mile walking path providing views of the ponds, marsh, and campus gardens, as well as ample communal outdoor space to rest and relax.

With the completion of this lease, Hobbs Brook Real Estate has executed a total of 130,554 square feet of new leases and renewals at the Edge Campus in 2024, a record milestone across the Wakefield region.
