BOSTONGoody Clancy, a nationally recognized education design firm, announced the appointment of Dominick Roveto, AIA, LEED AP, as its next president.

Roveto, a seasoned architect with over 30 years of experience, will step into the leadership role in May 2025, succeeding David Spillane, FAICP, RIBA, who has served as president since the role was established in 2014. Spillane will continue with the firm through the end of 2025 as a principal, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring a seamless transition.

Roveto brings a wealth of expertise in higher education planning and design. His long-standing involvement with the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), where he serves on the North Atlantic Regional Council, has given him valuable insight into the evolving needs of educational institutions. With leadership experience at Ellenzweig, HDR, and DLR Group, Roveto has helped shape education-focused practices and design solutions, making him uniquely positioned to lead Goody Clancy into its next phase of growth.

“Goody Clancy has long been at the forefront of designing transformative campus environments that support innovation, community, and discovery,” said Roveto. “I am honored to step into this role and excited to collaborate with the firm’s talented team, clients, and partners to shape the next chapter of its legacy.”

Roveto’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Goody Clancy as the firm prepares for its next strategic planning cycle. The firm’s Board of Directors expressed strong confidence in Roveto’s ability to guide Goody Clancy into its next era.

“Dom’s expertise in education design, his strategic mindset, and his ability to bring people together make him the right leader for Goody Clancy’s future,” said Lisa Ferreira, AIA, LEED AP, chair of Goody Clancy’s Board of Directors. “His appointment is particularly timely as we continue to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the higher education landscape.”

David Spillane, who has been with Goody Clancy for 24 years, reflected on his tenure, saying, “It has been an incredible privilege to serve as Goody Clancy’s president. With Dom’s leadership, I am confident the firm will continue to thrive, bringing fresh energy and ideas to its next chapter.”

Goody Clancy has been at the forefront of education design for over 70 years, dedicated to creating transformative learning environments that foster discovery, innovation, and community. With its deep expertise in higher education design, the firm partners with colleges and universities across the country to create spaces that empower individuals, strengthen institutional identity, and advance sustainability.
