Boston– Tsoi Kobus Design announced the addition of George Takoudes, AIA, LEED AP, to its senior leadership team.

Takoudes brings over 25 years of experience and an award-winning portfolio of significant projects for high-profile clients, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard University, Northeastern University, and the University of Massachusetts.

“The addition of George to our senior leadership team will fortify the principal-level attention we have delivered to our clients for the last forty years – an essential component of the Tsoi Kobus value proposition,” said Rick Kobus, Founding Partner and Senior Principal. “George’s experience with high-level, complex design projects spans all three of our primary practice areas. He has cultivated exceptional client relationships throughout his career through his strong commitment to mission-driven architecture. Takoudes received his A.B. cum laude from Columbia University and his Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is frequently published and a sought-after lecturer.

George is a leading voice in transforming architectural design in the healthcare industry to a more patient-centered and empathetic model while creating better work environments for healthcare practitioners. His experience also includes leadership roles for higher ed and science and technology clients, including the Carl J. Shapiro Science Center at Brandeis University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Biogen.

Tsoi Kobus is widely recognized for designing spaces for first-of-a-kind technology applications and is a leader in designing proton beam therapy facilities for cancer treatments. These include the $820 million National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), which opened in May, and the $237 million Cancer Institute for OSF Healthcare in Peoria, Illinois, now under construction. Tsoi Kobus was also recently selected for the design team for the $2.5 billion, one-million-square-foot-plus hospital campus expansion for Henry Ford Health in Detroit.
