BOSTON– A major chapter in Boston’s waterfront transformation will reach a milestone this Friday, May 23, as The Fallon Company hosts a ceremonial topping off at One Harbor Shore Drive, the final building in its 21-acre Fan Pier development.
The event will celebrate the placement of the last steel beam on the luxury condominium project, marking the structural completion of the last piece in the master-planned neighborhood that helped launch the Seaport District’s evolution.
The topping-off ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m. at 1 Harbor Shore Drive. The event will feature remarks from The Fallon Company’s executive leadership, including Chairman Joseph Fallon, CEO Michael Fallon, and Executive Managing Director Richard Martini, along with members of Iron Workers Union Local No. 7, who will oversee the traditional beam signing and hoisting.
The final building in the transformative Fan Pier master plan, One Harbor Shore Drive is a 122-unit luxury condominium located along the Harborwalk with sweeping views of Fan Pier Marina. The building has been designed to meet LEED Gold certification standards, in line with the neighborhood’s sustainability goals and world-class amenities.
Over the past two decades, Fan Pier has evolved from surface parking lots into a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive urban neighborhood. This final topping-off represents the culmination of years of collaboration and ambition.
Fan Pier has played a pivotal role in Boston’s waterfront development, introducing a dynamic mix of residential, commercial, retail, and civic spaces to the Seaport District. With major tenants like Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and nearby attractions like the ICA Boston and Marina Park, the neighborhood has become a hub for innovation and waterfront living.
