NORTH PORT, Fla.— Euro-Wall has launched Horizon Multi Slide™, a new sliding door system engineered to meet the performance demands of coastal environments while streamlining installation and long-term service.
Designed with input from installers, builders and architects, Horizon Multi Slide™ features updated sill geometry, enhanced panel-to-sill connections and a flatter sill profile to improve water management and durability. The system also incorporates hidden anchors, screw covers and replaceable rollers to simplify installation and maintenance.
Purpose-built for hurricane-prone regions, the door system addresses air and water infiltration, hardware corrosion and impact resistance. Euro-Wall said Horizon Multi Slide™ meets impact- and hurricane-rated performance standards and is suitable for use in High Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ), including areas such as Miami-Dade County.
Designed for Views and Performance
Horizon Multi Slide™ is engineered to maximize daylight and sightlines while maintaining structural integrity in harsh coastal conditions. Key features include:
-
1.5-inch interlock widths and a 2.5-inch center meet for increased glazing area
-
Capacity for up to eight 72-inch panels to create expansive indoor-outdoor openings
-
90-degree angle configurations, inside and outside pockets, multi-track and reverse stacking options
-
Coastal-rated hardware and standard powder coating for durability
-
Optional Kynar® 2605, clad and woodgrain finishes for enhanced customization
The slimmer sightlines and clean architectural profile are intended to support contemporary residential design trends that prioritize seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Built with Installers in Mind
Beyond aesthetics and performance, Euro-Wall said the new platform was rebuilt from the ground up to address jobsite efficiency amid ongoing skilled labor shortages highlighted by the National Association of Home Builders and coverage in This Old House.
The system’s lighter panels reduce physical strain during installation, while accessible anchors and improved sill details allow for faster adjustments in the field. Replaceable rollers and finish enhancements are designed to minimize callbacks and simplify long-term service.
“Horizon Multi Slide™ was purpose-built with both homeowners and design and construction professionals in mind,” said Toby Bostwick, CEO of Euro-Wall. “We engaged installers early to better understand how large-opening systems perform in real-world conditions, and we applied those insights to refine how Horizon Multi Slide™ is designed, installed and serviced—particularly for demanding coastal projects.”
By combining hurricane-rated performance with streamlined installation and serviceability, Euro-Wall said Horizon Multi Slide™ expands what is possible for coastal residential construction through enhanced durability, thoughtful design and precise execution.
