Braintree, MA–Caritas Communities, a non-profit provider of low-income housing and services with a mission to prevent homelessness, welcomes Dharshi Dupee of Corcoran Jennison Company, Inc. to its board of directors.
Dharshi Dupee, of Boston, is the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Corcoran Jennison Companies, a full-service real estate organization based in Boston. Corcoran Jennison Companies has developed more than $4 billion in real estate, with a focus on affordable housing.
“With 35 years of experience at Corcoran Jennison in asset management, financing and debt restructuring, including affordable housing, Dharshi brings a wealth of knowledge to our board,” said Karin Cassel Mitterando, executive director.
“I am honored to be appointed to the board of Caritas Communities, an organization that has long been a leader in the non-profit sector in providing affordable housing,” said Dupee. I am drawn to Caritas Communities because they are uniquely wonderful in developing smaller scale developments that are community-based. Their niche focus provides much needed single room occupancy to an under-employed population that frequently falls outside of Boston’s social safety net. These important housing opportunities are difficult to finance. Before joining the Corcoran Jennison Companies, Dupee worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
