BOSTON — The Davis Companies has promoted Quentin Reynolds to president and chief investment officer as the firm continues expanding its investment management platform and institutional real estate operations.
The Boston-based real estate investment, development, and management firm announced that Reynolds will oversee the company’s investment management business, strategic partnerships, and platform growth while continuing to work alongside CEO Stephen Davis.
Reynolds has led Davis’ acquisition team for more than a decade and has served as chief investment officer since 2020. In his expanded role, he will help guide investment strategy and fund management across the firm’s growing portfolio.
Founded as a vertically integrated real estate company, Davis invests across multiple asset classes with a primary focus on residential, industrial and self-storage, and science and technology properties. Since launching its commingled real estate funds in 2009, the firm has raised approximately $2.9 billion in equity across five value-added funds.
“As we continue to expand our institutional platform, Quentin is unquestionably the right person to lead our investment management business,” Stephen Davis said in a statement. “His perspective and attention to detail have created tremendous value for our team and investors over the past decade.”
Reynolds joined the company in 2013 and played a central role in managing investment periods for the firm’s Funds II through V. He currently chairs the investment committees for Davis’ active funds and shares responsibility for portfolio strategy, investment oversight, and risk management.
“I look forward to continuing to be a trusted fiduciary for our investors and delivering strong outcomes by leveraging the fully integrated platform and talented team that make Davis unique,” Reynolds said.
Before joining Davis, Reynolds spent more than 15 years in real estate finance and investment management roles at Lehman Brothers and Silverpeak, where he oversaw acquisitions, financing, and portfolio management across a range of market sectors.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School.
The promotion comes as Davis continues to expand its investment platform and institutional real estate capabilities across multiple property sectors.
