Brookline, MA – CTA Construction Managers announced it has been awarded a contract to perform a complete renovation of Brookline High School’s Tappan Gym as well as the school facility’s entire third floor.
The fast-tracked $8 million project is part of a major initiative to renovate and upgrade Brookline High School and enhance the grounds across the entire school campus.
“This overall project is important to the future of education in Brookline, and we are thrilled to have a role in making it happen,” said CTA Project Executive Steve Taylor.
CTA will oversee renovation of 50,000 square feet of space in two buildings, including reconstruction of the main entrance and site features at the Tappan Gym building. The project will be a phased occupied renovation, with the campus active and occupied for the duration of the project – including the aquatic center adjacent to the Tappan Gym.
The project also involves extensive abatement of hazardous materials and demolition; construction of two new entrance canopies and landscape retaining walls; granite hardscape work and construction of a new patio area with tables and chairs for students. The renovation is on a fast track and scheduled for completion in 2021.
Waltham-based CTA Construction has completed more than 75 high-quality municipal construction projects in the Commonwealth since it was founded in 2000, making the company one of the most experienced municipal builders in the state.
