BOSTON— Cresa announced that Jack Burns, Executive Managing Principal and founding member of its Boston office, has received the prestigious McCall Leadership Award from the Real Estate & Finance Association.
The award, presented annually to a single member of Boston’s commercial real estate community, recognizes outstanding leadership, industry contributions, and civic engagement. Selected by RE&FA’s membership, the honor is considered one of the region’s highest distinctions in commercial real estate and can only be awarded to an individual once during their career.
Burns, a widely respected figure in the industry, brings more than 45 years of experience to his role at Cresa Boston. Over the course of his career, he has built a reputation for client advocacy, professionalism, and integrity while helping shape the firm’s tenant-focused approach to commercial real estate services.
Among his many contributions, Burns is credited with creating the Real Advantage Program through CoreNet Global New England, an initiative that facilitates workshops and roundtable discussions for corporate real estate professionals and has since become a model adopted across North America. He has also served on Cresa’s board of directors and previously held the role of president at CoreNet Global New England.
Throughout his career, Burns has advised on several high-profile transactions in the Boston market. These include PTC’s 250,000-square-foot headquarters lease at 121 Seaport Boulevard and Hasbro’s 11-year, 265,000-square-foot lease at 400 Summer Street. In addition, he has provided strategic real estate guidance to major global organizations such as Dell EMC, 3D Systems, Seagate, and First Citizens Bank.
“Jack Burns has served as a leader not only at Cresa but within Boston’s commercial real estate industry at large,” said Adam Subber, Executive Managing Principal at Cresa Boston. “In receiving the McCall Leadership Award, we see that these sentiments are shared by our peers across the community, and we’re proud to see a member of our leadership team receive this prestigious honor.”
Burns’ recognition underscores his longstanding impact on the Greater Boston real estate market and his continued influence on the industry through both professional leadership and community engagement.
