BEVERLY, Mass. — Connolly Brothers Inc., a construction management firm serving private commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, has completed the renovation of a new 7,500-square-foot music and performing arts center for the Demakes Family YMCA of Lynn in Lynn, Massachusetts.
The project involved the demolition of an existing locker room to make way for a state-of-the-art facility designed to expand access to arts education and creative expression for youth and community members. The new center includes a modern performance theater, radio station and podcasting studio, recording studios, individual and group practice rooms, as well as a training room, library, and technology room.

Significant building upgrades were required to bring the space into compliance with current building codes. Connolly Brothers worked closely with the YMCA of Metro North and SV Design, the project’s architect of record, to ensure the project was completed successfully and efficiently.

The renovation will allow the Demakes Family YMCA to significantly expand its capacity to offer art and music programs, supporting creativity, education, and personal development for young people throughout Lynn and surrounding communities.
Connolly Brothers served as Construction Manager, with SV Design as Architect of Record. Additional project team members included D&D Electrical Contractors, Inc., DJ Plumbing and Heating Inc., and Hiller Fire Protection.
