BOSTON – Colliers International Boston announced the signing of a 68,000 square-foot lease with Market 32 by Price Chopper as the grocery anchor at Maynard Crossing in Maynard, MA. Colliers was the exclusive leasing agent for Capital Group Properties’ project.

Market 32 by Price Chopper will operate a state-of-the-art supermarket offering an extensive prepared foods section, pharmacy, 8,000 square foot wine, spirits and cheese section, as well as a Starbucks.

market-lease-1“Maynard has historically lacked a retail center, and being surrounded by several affluent communities makes it a prime location for a retail complex at the nucleus,” said Peter Montesanto, senior vice president and retail team leader at Colliers International, Boston. “With centers trending towards a more grocer-centric mentality, Market 32 will increasingly drive daily trips to Maynard Crossing and ultimately contribute to the project’s long-term success.”

collier-maynardUpon completion of the 293,500 square-foot mixed-use project, the complex is also slated to include two full service and two fast casual restaurants, a 20,000 square-foot high-end health club, a community bank, hardware store, apparel stores, medical care center, 180 residential rental units and a 143-unit independent senior living facility. As an abutter to three of Maynard’s schools, the High School, Fowler Middle School and the Green Meadow Elementary School, the project will also provide connected paths, walking trails and green space.

Groundbreaking at Maynard Crossing is slated to take place in the second quarter of 2017, with an anticipated opening of summer 2018.
