BOSTON— Chipotle Mexican Grill is expanding its presence across the Boston-Manchester area with two new restaurants, including a newly opened location in Braintree and another set to open Tuesday in Durham, New Hampshire.
The Braintree restaurant, located at 165 Pearl St., opened Aug. 19. The second location, at 7 Mill Road, Suite A, in Durham, is scheduled to open Sept. 29 near the University of New Hampshire campus.
Both restaurants are expected to operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The expansion comes as the fast-casual Mexican chain promotes several new and limited-time menu offerings in the region.
Among them is Pollo Asado, Chipotle’s new grilled chicken option seasoned with garlic and Mexican spices, finished with cilantro and citrus. The company is also offering Chili Lime Chips, its tortilla chips seasoned with lime and chili peppers.
Customers in the Boston-Manchester market can also try Chipotle’s new high-protein menu, which features items ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein. Options include the Double High Protein Bowl, High Protein-High Fiber Bowl and High Protein Cup, as well as a Single Chicken Taco starting at $3.50.
The company is also promoting its revamped Chipotle Rewards program, which offers members monthly food rewards and customizable birthday benefits. New members who enroll through Chipotle’s website can receive free Chips and Guac with a purchase.
Chipotle is also offering family meal options that allow customers to customize meals for groups at home.
Restaurants to add jobs
The two new restaurants are also expected to create employment opportunities in the region.
Chipotle said it is hiring for both locations, with approximately 30 positions available at each restaurant. The company said employees are eligible for benefits including a crew bonus program that can provide the opportunity to earn an additional month’s pay each year.
Other benefits include a debt-free college degree program, English-as-a-second-language support and access to mental health care for employees and their families.
The new locations add to Chipotle’s presence in the broader Boston and New Hampshire markets as the company continues expanding its restaurant footprint.
Chipotle said local organizations can also use its fundraising program to raise money for community causes through restaurant-based fundraising events.
