HYANNIS, MA – Simon announced that Cape Cod Mall will begin an extensive interior and exterior renovation complete with elevated finishes, modern décor, fresh landscaping featuring an outdoor gathering space, a new custom themed play area, and more.
The premier shopping center on the Cape will remain open during the renovation which is set to begin in October and will be complete in the summer of 2020.

The renovation of Cape Cod Mall is a continuation of the redevelopment currently underway at the property and is closely following the recent announcement of the arrival of DICK’s Sporting Goods in 2020 and the anticipated opening of Target this fall. Specific renovation elements include:
Revitalization of Exterior Entrances
A complete restoration of the mall entrances, maintaining Cape Cod character with high quality finishes and new amenities such as planters, benches, trash receptacles and bike racks, along with improved exterior lighting.
Addition of Public Space and New Landscaping
Cape Cod Mall will also debut a public area overlooking the pond on the south side of the property and adjacent to Regal Cinema which will feature outdoor seating, lighting, decorative stamped concrete, walkways to and from the property, pergolas and fresh landscaping.
New Dining Pavilion, Contemporary Furnishings and Amenities
The new Dining Pavilion will be entirely redesigned with varied seating including community tables and high-top tables equipped with built-in charging stations for added customer convenience.
State-of-the-art Children’s Play Area
The property will also welcome a state-of-the-art play area that will be geared to engage a child’s imagination and will feature play structures that promote active play with a nautical and Cape Cod theme.
