BOSTON— A new specialty food market bringing together two of Boston’s most respected culinary institutions will debut in the Seaport District on Monday, March 2.

Boston Provisions Market, opening at street level on Harbor Way within the 1 Boston Wharf building, combines the expertise of Wulf’s Fish and Savenor’s Butchery under one retail concept for the first time. The launch follows Wulf’s Fish’s 2024 acquisition of Savenor’s, creating a unified destination for premium meat and seafood traditionally reserved for top restaurants.

The 1,000-square-foot counter-service market is designed for home cooks seeking chef-quality ingredients, with expert butchers and fishmongers offering cut-to-order selections and practical guidance. The offerings mirror the same products the two companies supply to professional kitchens and wholesale clients nationwide.

“Boston Provisions Market will meet a need in the Seaport as a place to source premium meat and seafood that cannot be found anywhere else in the neighborhood,” said Mike Moniz, CEO of Boston Provisions. “We are excited to bring the legacy brands of Wulf’s Fish and Savenor’s Butchery to a new and growing part of the city.”

The market’s meat selection will include prime, wagyu and dry-aged beef, heritage Berkshire pork, American lamb and a wide range of poultry. On the seafood side, customers can expect New England staples such as cod, lobster and oysters, along with responsibly raised salmon, Japanese varieties including hamachi and madai, and caviar. A curated grab-and-go selection will also be available for office lunches and quick dinners.

Located in the heart of the Boston Seaport, the market aims to complement the neighborhood’s evolving culinary scene while honoring its maritime roots.

“Boston Provisions Market adds a thoughtful, craft-driven retail experience that serves residents and reflects the area’s deep connection to food and maritime history,” said Ariel Foxman, vice president of brand and experience for Boston Seaport.

Described by its team as an elegant, design-forward space inspired by classic European food halls, the market blends craftsmanship and accessibility in a modern setting tailored to everyday shopping as well as special-occasion planning.

Boston Provisions Market will open to the public Monday, March 2, and operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The first 100 customers will receive a complimentary Boston Provisions tote bag, and the market will offer caviar bumps throughout opening day celebrations.
