Move marks the company’s latest step in its growth across Greater Boston and New England
BOSTON — Boston-based construction management firm Corderman & Company is expanding into Portland, Maine, marking the company’s latest move to grow its presence across New England.
Founded in 2002, Corderman provides construction management services for projects across sectors including higher education, banking, corporate, financial, healthcare and life sciences, hospitality, legal, retail and commercial building repositioning.
The company said its Portland expansion is part of its organic growth strategy and reflects its interest in the city’s development and commercial construction market.

Corderman & Company has more than two decades of experience in construction management and has been recognized as an Engineering News-Record Regional Top Contractor and a Boston Business Journal Top General Contractor in Massachusetts. The company was also named Boston Real Estate Times’ Construction Firm of the Year for 2026.
The firm’s capabilities include in-house carpentry, trucking and labor divisions. It also has experience delivering projects certified under LEED and WELL standards, which the company said positions it to work with clients pursuing sustainability-focused projects in Maine.
The Portland expansion extends a business model the company says is centered on collaboration, communication and long-term relationships with clients and project partners.
The firm said it intends to build a lasting presence in Portland while bringing its construction management experience to the city’s evolving commercial landscape.
