NEEDHAM, MA–Bialow Real Estate, a national retail tenant representation and consulting firm, announced that Anthony Genovese has joined the firm as Vice President to launch the firm’s Midwest presence this summer. The company, led by CEO Corey Bialow provides all the traditional functions of an internal real estate department on an outsourced basis.
Bialow Real Estate currently represents more than 50 different retail and restaurant chains with their regional or national expansion plans.
“Anthony’s successful career on both the landlord and tenant representation side of the negotiating table make him an ideal pick to launch our Chicago office,” said Corey Bialow, CEO Bialow Real Estate. “As our national business continues to grow exponentially, his experience with premium brands expands our capabilities and flexibility to serve our clients across the country.”
Genovese joins the Bialow team from Brookfield Properties where he was senior director of the Retail Development team and specialized in working with many emerging national & international brands that were new to the Brookfield portfolio such as Mackage, Gorjana, LEAP, Parachute Home, Boisson, Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Madison Reed, Purple, Shady Ray’s, Kid’s Empire, and more. Genovese also led and managed leasing efforts for Brookfield Properties high street assets in downtown Chicago along Michigan Avenue. He started out in the business on the JLL tenant representation team in downtown Chicago representing retailers such as Peter Millar (Gold Coast), Mozzarella Store (Michigan Avenue), Salon Lofts (city & suburbs), Nic + Zoe, Reebok, and many more.
Growing up on Long Island, NY, he always had a passion for retail stemming from his family business, Genovese Drug Stores, a leader in the drug store category. He now makes his home in Hinsdale, IL with his wife and children.
