BROOKLINE, MA– A colorful, new archway leading to Brookline’s Baker School and Hoar Sanctuary was unveiled this week as part of an overall entrance renovation project developed by Chestnut Hill Realty.
The entranceway leads from Chestnut Hill Realty’s Hancock Village in South Brookline to the K-8 school, nature trails and newly renovated town tennis courts which CHR helped to rebuild.
The arch is particularly significant as the artistic sculpture formerly graced the Cancer Garden of Hope on Boston’s City Hall Plaza until it had to be moved due to the Plaza’s recent reconstruction project.
The Garden of Hope was created by the Conquer Cancer Coalition, a charity founded in memory of Michael Zuker, brother of CHR Founder and CEO Ed Zuker. Cheerfully repainted in rainbow-hewed tones, the arch now serves as an inspirational pathway to education, exploration and fitness.
