Brighton, MA–2Life Communities announced the promotion of Zoe Weinrobe to chief of real estate, overseeing a portfolio that has seen unprecedented growth during her seven years with the organization.
In her previous role as director of real estate, Weinrobe led the creation of nearly 400 affordable apartments at 2Life while also overseeing the renovations of 2Life’s Golda Meir and Coleman Houses in Newton.
As chief of real estate, Weinrobe will expand on her success and lead the organization’s real estate development at a time of tremendous growth. 2Life is currently developing multiple large-scale projects including its middle-income housing model Opus Newton, a redevelopment of the J.J. Carroll Apartments in Brighton with the Boston Housing Authority and Brooke House at Olmsted Village in Mattapan.

In her time at 2Life, Weinrobe has overseen completed projects totaling over $200 million in development costs and over $340 million in projects in development.

Prior to joining 2Life in 2016, Weinrobe served as vice president at Recap Real Estate Advisors, working with public housing authorities across the country on conversions through HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program, including both renovations and new construction projects. Weinrobe also worked at Urban Edge CDC, the Cambridge Housing Authority, and the City of Cambridge.
Weinrobe has a master’s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated with honors from Cornell University. Currently serving as the vice chair of Just A Start, a Cambridge-based community development corporation, and as a trustee of the Watertown Affordable Housing Trust, Weinrobe continues to be passionate about preserving and building deeply affordable, sustainable, and beautiful housing for both seniors and families.
