MEDFORD, Mass. — A new kind of dining experience has arrived just outside Boston, as Wonder officially opens its latest location at 50 Station Landing, marking another milestone in the company’s rapid Northeast expansion.
The 3,600-square-foot restaurant space, built out by Corderman & Company, reflects the growing demand for convenience-driven dining, blending technology with a wide-ranging menu sourced from more than 15 well-known restaurant brands.
Founded in 2018, Wonder has quickly scaled its footprint to more than 100 locations across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The Medford site is part of a broader push into the Greater Boston market, where the company is aiming to redefine takeout through its “digital food hall” model.
Unlike traditional restaurants, the new location is designed primarily for off-premise dining. Customers place orders via mobile devices or in-store kiosks, then retrieve meals from dedicated pickup shelving. An open foyer accommodates lines and waiting guests, while a smaller seating area with booths and bar-style options remains available for those choosing to dine in.
Behind the scenes, a large commercial kitchen anchors the operation, outfitted with integrated systems tailored to handle high volumes of digital orders. These systems are central to Wonder’s business model, enabling efficient coordination between multiple restaurant concepts operating under one roof.
The interior design adds a vibrant touch to the tech-forward setup. Colorful murals and playful signage draw inspiration from local culture, while illuminated storefront signage along Revere Beach Parkway aims to attract passersby seeking a wide variety of cuisine—from pizza and wings to tacos, seafood, Italian dishes, and poke.
Corderman Superintendent John Sharpe emphasized the collaborative nature of the project.
“Building this Wonder location was a great opportunity to bring our core beliefs into a fast-evolving environment,” Sharpe said. “Our focus on integrity and craftsmanship guided every phase, and strong partnerships across teams were essential to delivering a space that is both functional and inspiring.”
The project team also included key contributors such as Kevin Hegarty, Cam Christenson, Cadman Corbett, and Alejandra Richardi, alongside collaboration with HFA Architecture & Engineering and Cumming Group.
The Medford opening adds to Corderman’s growing portfolio of restaurant projects, including work with concepts such as Yoki, Craft Food Halls, and Oishii.
Following a grand opening earlier this month, the new Wonder location is already drawing attention from local diners. As the company continues its regional expansion, the Medford site signals a shift in how restaurants may operate in an increasingly digital, convenience-focused landscape—bringing a diverse menu and streamlined ordering experience under one roof.
