MARLBOROUGH, MA — Universal Window announced it has rebranded from Universal Window and Door, reflecting a shift in focus alongside a series of operational changes.
The company, which has manufactured replica windows for historic buildings for nearly six decades, said the rebrand is part of broader efforts to improve delivery processes for historic preservation and commercial clients.
“Our evolution from ‘Universal Window and Door’ to simply ‘Universal Window’ sharpens our focus on what we do best: crafting custom window solutions for historic and architecturally significant spaces,” said Jeff Reilly, who was appointed chief executive officer in 2025. “The operational upgrades improve our ability to design, manufacture, and deliver historically accurate replica windows that meet the requirements of historic preservation commissions with greater efficiency. As a privately owned company with a 60-year history, these changes are designed to ensure the company remains a market leader for the next 60 years.”
The company said the operational changes include investments in manufacturing, staffing, and digital infrastructure.
Universal Window has added a third computer numerical control (CNC) machine to support custom manufacturing processes. It has also established a four-person project management team to oversee projects from initial sale through completion, with a focus on maintaining a 12-week delivery schedule.
In addition, the company expanded its sales, administrative, and customer support teams to improve response times and service. A redesigned website has also been launched, featuring an expanded project portfolio and technical specifications for clients.
The company said the changes are intended to support its work with historic preservation and commercial projects while maintaining its manufacturing operations in Marlborough.
