BOSTON — Urban Land Institute (ULI) Boston/New England has announced the 2025–2026 Etkin Scholars Cohort, naming 20 graduate and undergraduate students selected to participate in the program designed to cultivate the next generation of real estate and land use professionals.
The Etkin Scholars Program, supported by the philanthropic leadership of Bruce Etkin, introduces students to ULI’s global network and educational resources while providing a structured pathway into the organization’s learning and leadership opportunities. Scholars receive complimentary ULI student membership, access to specialized programming, mentorship, networking opportunities, and engagement with both local and national ULI initiatives throughout the academic year.
“The Etkin Scholars Program represents our investment in the next generation of land use and real estate professionals,” said Michelle Landers, Executive Director of ULI Boston/New England. “By providing students with early access to ULI’s extensive network and resources, we’re helping shape leaders who will drive innovation and positive change in the built environment.”
During the 2025–2026 academic year, Etkin Scholars will participate in ULI Boston/New England programming, connect with industry professionals, and gain firsthand exposure to real estate development, planning, and policy. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and relationships needed to help shape thriving communities.
Since its inception, the Etkin Scholars Program has played a vital role in strengthening the real estate talent pipeline by integrating students into ULI’s collaborative, multidisciplinary network.
