MIDDLETON, MA – The Procopio Companies, a fourth-generation, full-service real estate development and construction management firm based in Middleton, MA, announced the hire of Shad Brook to the role of Director of Operational Excellence. Brook’s hire supports Procopio’s rapid company growth and commitment to operational excellence across its expanding portfolio of projects.
At Procopio, Brook’s 15 years of experience in quality of operations and quality assurance will build on the company’s core value that any place can be bigger and better. In his newly established role, Brook will apply manufacturing principles to Procopio’s construction operations to standardize processes and procedures, ensuring value creation and efficiency are top of mind for continuous improvement. He will contribute to the strategy, vision, and overall performance of the company as it enters a critical phase of growth, with active projects in Lynn, Beverly, Wilmington, Winthrop, and Gloucester, MA, Portland, ME, Windham, NH and a planned expansion to the Raleigh, NC market.
Prior to joining Procopio, Brook spent four years as Senior Manager, Operations Quality for Raytheon Technologies, where he was responsible for driving improvements of processes, systems, products, and procedures in support of functional strategy. Previously, he gained extensive construction experience as the Director of Quality at Suffolk Construction, where he oversaw, developed, and improved the organization’s quality assurance and quality control programs. A licensed journeyman electrician, Brook graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in industrial engineering and earned his MBA from Mount Mercy University in 2012.
