BOSTON— Boston’s waterfront will once again transform into an open-air fitness hub this spring as Seaport Sweat returns for its 11th season, offering more than 100 free workout classes from May 4 through September 30.

Hosted in the Seaport District, the popular program—sponsored by Mass General Brigham Health Plan and NOBULL—has grown into the largest free outdoor workout series in Boston, drawing thousands of participants each year.

Classes will again take place Monday through Thursday evenings on Seaport Common, while a new addition for 2026 brings Saturday morning workouts to Harbor Way, expanding the program’s footprint and accessibility.

“For more than a decade, Seaport Sweat has brought people together through movement, and we’re proud to continue that tradition in our 11th season,” said Jill Blanco, assistant manager of culture and experience for Boston Seaport. “From weekday classes on Seaport Common to Saturday workouts at Harbor Way and Stretch and the City at the Summer Street Steps, there are many ways for people to stay active, connect, and enjoy the waterfront.”

The program features a wide variety of workouts, including high-intensity interval training, strength sessions, dance cardio, yoga, and Pilates, led by a rotating lineup of local instructors. Classes are set to live DJ sets from DJ Sprino, a signature element that has helped define the high-energy atmosphere of the series.

Returning instructors include Eliza Shirazi, Ashley Mitchell, Reese Pressey, and Bron Volney, alongside other alumni who have contributed to the program’s growth over the past decade.

“Being part of Seaport Sweat since the early days has been incredibly meaningful,” Shirazi said. “What began as a small outdoor class has grown into Boston’s largest free workout series, while still maintaining the welcoming, community-centered spirit that made it special from the beginning.”

The 2026 season also marks the return of Stretch and the City, a weekly Friday yoga series held at the Summer Street Steps. Presented by Lifeway Foods, the midday sessions aim to provide a relaxing reset for participants, complete with complimentary probiotic drink samples after each class.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Seaport’s Stretch and the City for a third year, bringing yoga and gut-friendly nutrition to the Summer Street Steps,” said Julie Smolyansky. “Movement and wellness go hand in hand, and we hope this series continues to be a space for the neighborhood to feel energized and supported.”

The season will culminate with Sweatapalooza, a day-long fitness festival scheduled for September 12, featuring group workouts, a live DJ, pop-ups, and giveaways.

“As a Boston-based training brand, we are thrilled to partner with Seaport Sweat and move with our community in the city where the brand was born,” said Susie Mulder, chief operating officer of NOBULL. “Together with Seaport Sweat, we are excited to embrace the mentality and culture that define NOBULL.”

“Staying active shouldn’t feel out of reach,” added Stanley Hochberg, chief medical officer of Mass General Brigham Health Plan. “Through our sponsorship of the Seaport Sweat series, we’re supporting free, accessible fitness experiences that make movement fun, social, and part of everyday life for our community.”
