BOSTON– A joint venture between Saracen Properties LLC, a real estate investment and development company, and Artemis Real Estate Partners, a global real estate investment management firm, announced the appointment of CBRE/New England as exclusive leasing agent for Mill & Main, a 1.1 million square foot, first class brick & beam office park located in Maynard, MA.
The marketing and leasing efforts will be spearheaded by CBRE/NE’s Rob Walles, Bob McGuire, Sam Crossan and Alison Powers.
“Our team is proud to be creating a lifestyle mill experience for our community of tenants,” said Ted Saraceno, President of Saracen Properties. “Mill and Main is a best-in-class mill renovation of enormous scale and importance. CBRE/NE is a perfect match for us as they will deliver our message to a wide audience of tenants seeking lifestyle choices for their businesses in a historically significant brick & beam campus.”
“We are excited to work with Ted Saraceno and his team on Mill & Main,” added Rob Walles, Senior Vice President/Partner at CBRE/NE. “We have a long history with the project as we brought the 1.1 MSF complex to 100% occupancy in the early 2000s under the prior ownership regime and we are ready to do it again. This is an exciting time to be associated with Mill & Main as Artemis and Saracen are in the midst of investing over $20 million to unleash the project’s full potential. We are sure this first class brick & beam space in a walkable urban environment will fill a void in the western suburbs.”
Mill & Main dates back to the mid 1800s and was renovated in the early 1980s by Digital Equipment for its world headquarters. In 1998 it became known as Clock Tower Place and began the transition to a multi-tenanted office park. Acquired by Saracen Properties and Artemis Real Estate Partners in the summer of 2015, the project is currently undergoing a dramatic redevelopment and renovation, including the creation of new exterior plazas, greenscape improvements, lobby and common area renovations, base building improvements and heavy investment in new food service and fitness options. A pedestrian bridge spanning Mill Pond will provide direct access to the primary parking lot. Additionally, ownership is eagerly anticipating the opening of Battle Creek Brewing’s brew pub concept in the late spring.
