BOSTON — The RMR Group’s Managing Director Jennifer Clark will be honored with Boston Real Estate Times’ Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022 at its annual Excellence Awards ceremony on Oct. 6, 2022, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.
“On behalf of Boston Real Estate Times and its readers, we’re honored to bestow the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award to Ms. Clark, who has made a huge impact on the commercial real estate industry not only in Boston, but across the country,” said Upendra Mishra, publisher of Boston Real Estate Times. “She is a perfect example and role model of shattering the glass ceiling as well as maintaining a high standard of excellence in her work.”
In addition to her role as Managing Director, Ms. Clark also serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of The RMR Group (Nasdaq: RMR).
“I am honored and humbled by this recognition by the Boston Real Estate Times. I have been extremely fortunate in my career to have had challenging and fulfilling professional opportunities at the Sullivan law firm and The RMR Group, opportunities made possible, in large part, by sponsors and mentors who saw only ability and not gender or other characteristics irrelevant to performance,” said Ms. Clark. “I continue to try to pay that forward and hope that my legacy will be as a champion for hard working professionals who produce high quality work and for diversity and inclusion initiatives that support and create opportunities for those professionals.”
Ms. Clark has been Managing Director of RMR since 2018. She is responsible for all legal matters affecting RMR-managed companies. She is also the Secretary of all RMR-managed companies and serves on the Boards of Office Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: OPI), AlerisLife (Nasdaq: ALR) and Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Private).
Ms. Clark is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Tremont Realty Capital, a wholly owned, SEC-registered investment advisor subsidiary of RMR acquired in 2016.
Prior to joining RMR in 1999, Ms. Clark was a Partner at the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP, where she had a broad-based real estate practice, including representing secured lenders, borrowers, joint venture partners and investors in loans and leveraged transactions.
Ms. Clark earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and a Juris Doctorate from Boston University Law School.
