BOSTON, MA– The Davis Companies has appointed real estate financial veteran Ravi Ragnauth as its Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director.
With more than 20 years of experience in real estate, public accounting, capital markets, investment and mortgage banking, Ragnauth will oversee the firm’s financial operations, including capital markets/finance, accounting, tax, budgeting, treasury and implementation of all financial and risk management strategies. In addition, he will serve on the company’s investment commitment and will oversee the firm’s investor reporting and compliance functions.
Ravi most recently served as Group Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President & Board Member of The Moinian Group, a New York headquartered real estate firm with approximately $10 billion of assets under management. In his role at Moinian, Ragnauth was an organizational leader and advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors and was responsible for oversight of the financial operations, capital markets and strategy functions of the Firm.

Prior to The Moinian Group, Ravi’s experience included working for Fannie Mae as the Head/Business Unit Finance Director and Ernst and Young LLP. In his role at Fannie Mae, Ravi provided financial guidance and assisted with the management of strategic investments for the FannieMae’s retained portfolio of over $200 billion. At Ernst & Young, Ravi led large assurance and advisory engagements for Fortune 100 Companies mainly in the financial services and real estate industry. Ravi holds an undergraduate degree from the University of London, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland UC and is a Chartered Accountant.
