Nine Companies from Four Countries and Other States Along with Startups Choose to Call Massachusetts Home

CAMBRIDGE, MA–Nine companies now doing business in Massachusetts will be recognized at MassEcon’s Annual Corporate Welcome Reception. These companies, which have all established their first location in Massachusetts over the last year, have located in multiple regions of the state and represent diverse industries including IT, beverage, career training, AI, gene therapy, logistics, software, and biotechnology.
Massachusetts Secretary of the Executive Office of Economic Development Yvonne Hao will be the featured speaker and Morgan Weinstein, Executive Vice President – Northeast, Phase3 Real Estate Partners, will deliver welcome remarks. This is the only event of its kind in Massachusetts that brings together companies new to the state to introduce them to the rich Massachusetts network. Since launching this event in 2009, MassEcon has recognized 193 companies from 40 countries and 32 states. These companies have added more than 8,000 jobs to the Massachusetts economy.
Jeevan Ramapriya with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment; Peter Milano with the Massachusetts Office of Business Development; Segun Idowu with the City of Boston;       Pardis Saffari with the City of Cambridge will also be in attendance to welcome these new companies to the Commonwealth.
“Massachusetts delivers a high quality of life for workers and supportive eco-system for employers,”  said MassEcon Executive Director Pete Abair. “We are thankful for each new business and pleased to welcome them to the Commonwealth.”

    IT consulting firm that located in early 2024 at UMass-Lowell campus with three employees. Headquartered in France and have another location in Canada. Specializing in digital transformation, it offers nearshore and offshore services with a focus on Data and AI, helping clients optimize IT management, development, and data-driven solutions across industries like Finance, Healthcare and Energy.
  • Arcpoint Brewing Company (Belchertown)
    Veteran-owned brewery opened August 16, 2024. Family-friendly environment where people can relax while enjoying local craft beer and local music.
  • ArLab (Boston)
    State-of-the-art career institute, providing hands-on skill development that equips students for healthcare and biotechnology careers. JVS Boston & Quincy College partnered to bring together deep expertise in workforce training and higher education to prepare job seekers for in-demand jobs with quality employer partners. Offers an extensive simulated training experience that benefits both job seekers and employers.
  • Beacon Therapeutics (England and Florida to Boston)
    Ophthalmic gene therapy company founded in 2023 to save and restore the vision of patients with blinding retinal diseases. Pipeline combines a late-stage development candidate to treat X-linked retinitis pigmentosa (XLRP) with two preclinical programs, targeting dry age-related macular degeneration and an inherited cone-rod dystrophy.
  • Crowley Wind Services (Florida to Salem)
    Privately held, U.S.-owned and -operated maritime, energy and logistics solutions company serving commercial and government sectors. Salem Offshore Wind Terminal is a public-private partnership among Crowley, the MassCEC, and the City of Salem. Secured the long-term use of 42 acres in Salem to develop and operate the state’s second major offshore wind port terminal. The terminal will be a logistics and operations center for turbine pre-assembly, transportation, staging activities and storage of assembly component
