BOSTON, MA–Maureen Fitzgerald, director of external policy for NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, was recently recognized by the Jewish Alliance for Social Law and Action, a nonprofit corporation engaging in working on issues if social and economic justice, civil rights, and constitutional liberties.
Fitzgerald received a special recognition for her two decades of outstanding leadership.
JALSA’s annual meeting took place virtually on June 27th with an evening of music, comedy, and celebration of social justice. Awards in different categories such as advocates in justice, distinguished leadership, and community leadership were presented to JALSA’s partners of justice, along with Fitzgerald’s special recognition.
Fitzgerald is an experienced committed nonprofit director with demonstrated success in advocacy, policy development, project coordination, and program implementation. She has successfully utilized her skills learned through experience in affordable housing and with people with disabilities to work as part of a team to support a mission-driven organization. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of cultivating opportunities to position organizations for greater impact. Throughout her tenure with NHS, she has strengthened the organization’s ability to provide housing resources and education in collaboration with partners in both the public and private sectors.
