LEOMINSTER, MA–Building on the city relationship with Massachusetts Life Sciences, Leominster Mayor Mazzarella announced that Leominster, MA will be forming its first ever Life Sciences Committee.
The committee will be made up of local businesses, residents, residents who work in the area of life sciences and educational professionals.
“We work closely with Mass Life Sciences and we want to provide as many opportunities as possible for local residents. This is also an opportunity to expose our students to the many options available in all aspects of the life science industry,” said Mazzarella.
The life science industry focuses on sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food processing, and biotechnology. The City also has a strong working relationship with the North Central Chamber of Commerce, MassHIRE, and other agencies that provide networking and employment opportunities for the region.
“The Life Science Industry looks for communities that offer a skilled workforce, access to top universities, available infrastructure-ready land to build and expand, communities with a variety of amenities, proximity to research leaders, and state and local governments willing to work with the industry to succeed. We have all of that in Leominster and the surrounding region,” said Mazzarella.
