JLL wins top honor at virtual CBA Achievement Awards

BOSTON–JLL announced that several of its team members were honored at the virtual Achievement Awards ceremony of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) on September 24th.

The annual CBA Achievement Awards honor corporate and personal excellence in the commercial brokerage industry with Special Recognition Awards, as well as recognition for Deals of the Year in several market categories.

New England Brokerage Lead Matt Daniels was awarded the prestigious McCall Leadership Award which is the highest form of praise bestowed upon a commercial real estate broker in Greater Boston.

With over 22 years of commercial real estate experience, Daniels has built and led teams who have negotiated over 12 million square feet of lease transactions, in addition to hundreds of millions of dollars in sale transactions. Additionally, Vice President Sarah Curry was named the Rising Star of the Year, a distinction that highlights new talent who not only demonstrate excellent potential, but also greatly contribute to the industry. Curry serves on the Downtown Leasing team and was instrumental in several key wins for the team in the past year.

JLL also swooped up several Deal of the Year wins:

• Greater Cambridge Office Deal of the Year for its work on bluebird bio’s expansion to Cambridge’s 50 Binney Street, in which Managing Directors Tucker Hansen, Ben Coffin and Joe Flaherty assisted bluebird bio in negotiations.

• Suburban Office Deal of the Year for Boston Dynamics’ expansion to POST 200 Smith in Waltham. Managing Directors Matt Daniels, Jason Fivek and Chris Decembrele represented landlords Anchor Line and Northwood in the transaction.

• Most Creative Deal Under 100,000 SF for Boston Trolley’s 69,000 square foot sublease from Fallon Ambulance at 199 Commander Shea Boulevard in Quincy. Industrial co-leads Michael Ciummei and Joe Fabiano represented the landlord in the transaction.

Originally founded, in 1991, as the Commercial Leasing Committee of BOMA, the Commercial Brokers Association was established as a free-standing division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board in 2001. CBA represents over 400 members in the commercial brokerage community throughout Massachusetts.
