MARION, MA–South Coast Improvement Company (SCI), a design-build general contractor serving New England and the Mid-Atlantic states, recently hired Jeff Stupalski as the company’s director of pre-construction. Stupalski comes to South Coast after more than a decade as an estimator in the dry wall industry.
As a director of pre-construction, Stupalski leads the efforts to ensure jobs move smoothly from the invitation to bid right through the production phase. This position coordinates closely with the director of estimating and project managers and has a hand in nearly all aspects of successful project preparation, including client contract development, scope of work, vendor and subcontractor relations, budget analysis, project buyout, scheduling, and supporting the project management efforts throughout the life of the project.
“As South Coast has grown, we’ve developed a need to have a dedicated pre-construction specialist to work with our estimators. We’ve had Jeff on our radar for a while and are delighted to have him in this role,” said Tom Quinlan, president of South Coast Improvement, Inc.
Stupalski started out in construction more than a decade ago as a carpenter. He holds an associate degree from Bristol Community College.
“South Coast has a very fast pace and there’s a lot going on. It’s an environment that really brings out the best in me,” said Stupalski.
Married, he and his wife Kayleigh live in Dartmouth, Massachusetts with their two sons.
