MILFORD, N.H.— Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. celebrated the opening of its new 57,000-square-foot Shared Services Operations facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, marking the completion of the company’s Elm Street Campus and advancing a long-term strategy focused on expanded capabilities and workforce growth.

Designed and built by PROCON’s integrated design-build team, the state-of-the-art facility consolidates value-added services that were previously distributed among several buildings. Centralizing these operations is expected to improve workflow efficiency, enhance quality control, and support growth in Hitchiner’s aerospace and commercial programs.

“This facility is representative of reinvesting in the business to grow opportunities for our customers, our employees, and our community,” said John Morison IV, President and Secretary of Hitchiner Manufacturing. “It reflects our strategy to expand our capabilities, strengthen our value stream, and build on Hitchiner’s legacy of innovation.”

With the addition of the new Shared Services Operations building, Hitchiner’s Elm Street Campus now supports the full value stream for finished investment-casting-based aerospace components. The integrated layout enables the company to respond more quickly to customer needs and positions Hitchiner for continued expansion in global markets.

The building incorporates flexible, safety-focused design features to accommodate evolving equipment, technology, and manufacturing processes.

“By consolidating these services into a single state-of-the-art building, we are able to operate smarter, support innovation, and continue delivering world-class solutions to customers around the world,” Morison said.

PROCON, which partnered with Hitchiner from concept through construction, worked closely with the company to meet the facility’s highly specialized requirements.

“Partnering with Hitchiner on this transformative project has been both fun and energizing,” said John Stebbins, CEO of PROCON. “They are such a dynamic company, so they’ve been a great match for our fully integrated design-build process. The result is a purpose-built space that will support their growth and reinforce their leadership in advanced manufacturing for years to come.”

Hitchiner, now approaching 80 years in business, remains a leader in investment casting technologies serving the aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy sectors. The company credits its success to its workforce and continues to invest heavily in employee development.

As part of its ongoing expansion, Hitchiner currently has 50 to 70 job openings across manufacturing, engineering, operations, supervision, and support roles. Training opportunities include on-the-job learning through the company’s Center for Excellence, tuition assistance, and pathways for career advancement.

“You can start on the shop floor and work your way into leadership roles here,” Morison said. “People who embrace continuous improvement, take initiative, and work collaboratively thrive at Hitchiner.”
