LOWELL, MA –Heritage Properties announced a change in its top leadership as Jeff Bush has stepped into the role of company president.
Bush is succeeding his father, Brian Bush, who has been president of Heritage Properties, a management company with apartments in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, for the past twenty years.
The senior Bush will remain on in a partner capacity. During his time as company president, he took part in the acquisition, development, and rehabilitation of over 1,500 apartments units in communities from Providence, Rhode Island, to Portland, Maine, earning a reputation in the industry for his ability to move efficiently through complex permitting, design, construction, and management of his projects while ensuring that all parties feel that they have been treated fairly.
The announcement comes during a period of growth for the company having recently acquired their first property in Rhode Island, known as Grant Mill. In addition to managing 647 apartment homes in properties they own, Heritage Properties also provides third party management services at Meadow Lanes Apartments and The Residences at Jones Farm in Massachusetts, and the newly completed Main Street Woodmont Commons in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Jeff Bush joined Heritage Properties in 2016 as an analyst, where he was tasked with identifying, inspecting, and closing new acquisition, redevelopment, and investment opportunities. He will continue much of this work in his new role as president while also working closely with the senior management team in overseeing staff and operations at Heritage Properties.
A graduate of Brown University, Jeff also holds a certificate in Real Estate Finance from Boston University. Prior to coming to work at Heritage, he worked as a special education teacher on Cape Cod. Jeff holds a board seat on the House of Hope and enjoys all things outdoors – particularly swimming, biking and running.
“I’m excited to be stepping into this new role,” shared Jeff. “We’ve expanded both geographically and in our third party management contracts in recent years, and I’m confident this growth will continue. This is also a significant opportunity to carry forward the resident-focused and family-oriented culture my father has developed at Heritage Properties over the past twenty years. The entire staff operates as one team, and I am appreciative for the opportunity to continue this approach for years to come.”
The company currently employs over 30 people throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
