Danvers, MA — Hancock Associates, a provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, announces that it has acquired Land Surveys, Inc. of Brockton, a surveying firm with a high reputation for quality and responsiveness.
The deal was managed by John Allen of Allen Business Advisors. The acquisition adds the survey records that Land Surveys has amassed since 1973, as well as the records of Atlas Land Surveying of Stoughton and Kenneth C. Heyward of Easton, to Hancock’s vast historical survey records collection.
“Looking to retirement, I knew I wanted to find a firm that I could trust to take care of my valued clients and 40 years of important surveying records. I’m thrilled to have found Hancock Associates and will be assisting in the transition to ensure it is seamless for every client,” said Bruce Malcolm, PLS, owner of Land Surveys.
“Hancock has always been a leader in preserving records so that they may be available for use in perpetuity. In fact, we have a full-time archivist on staff whose sole responsibility is to digitize and catalog thousands of historical records as well as the new ones that are continually being created by the firm. This acquisition helps us continue that tradition and expand Hancock’s land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services to the South Shore,” said Hancock President Wayne Jalbert.
Hancock Associates is made up of talented surveyors, engineers and scientists dedicated to excellence in land/coastal development, construction and preservation. They have maintained their position as an industry leader through their investment in exceptional staff, state-of-the-art equipment/technology and acquisition of multiple surveying and engineering firms, and historical survey records dating back to 1852.
Since 1978, Hancock Associates has been providing land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
