NEW YORK CITY–DeSimone Consulting Engineers, a full-service engineering firm with offices worldwide, announced the asset purchase of RRC Engineering, a Massachusetts-based structural engineering firm specializing in the design of Data Centers.
The move further strengthens DeSimone’s offerings in the tech driven space while providing greater resources to RRC Engineering.
DeSimone is an acknowledged leader in structural engineering, forensics, facade consulting, and construction and environmental risk management, providing services for the most complex projects in the United States and around the world. RRC Engineering’s expertise in the design of Data Centers and other industrial facilities throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic region is a great compliment to DeSimone’s existing portfolio and strengthens the firm’s ability to service the sector fueled by the accelerated shift to ecommerce and virtual collaboration.
RRC Engineering was founded in 2002, specializing in data center design and commercial projects, and will continue to be led by founding principal Robert Chartrand. The firm will remain at its current address at 60 Man Mar Drive, Plainville, MA. DeSimone’s Boston team will remain at 31 Milk Street, Boston, MA. Both offices will leverage their deep experience and maximize opportunities in this fast-growing market.
