BOSTON–Marcus Partners, a real estate investment, management and development firm, announced the completion of a $25 million redevelopment of 5 Branch Street, a 94,125 square foot office building in Methuen, MA.
The building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art medical facility with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as the anchor tenant occupying more than half of the property.
DFCI will offer cancer and blood disorder care and outpatient services to adult patients in Merrimack Valley. Approximately 30,000 square feet remains available for lease for area medical tenants who wish to co-locate in this regional center of excellence.
“Working closely with Dana-Farber’s team, we are proud to have been a partner in helping deliver a first-class facility to serve the Merrimack Valley,” said Peter Cameron, a Principal at Marcus Partners. “Our deep experience in medical facilities allowed for us to support the amazing team at Dana-Farber in creating a destination for treatment and wellness that is unmatched in this region. We are excited about the opportunity to accommodate like-minded medical groups in the remainder of the facility.”
As a result of the extensive redevelopment, 5 Branch Street now offers state of the art building systems and a dramatic new entry and lobby including an in-building café. Additionally, abundant parking and easy access from both routes 93 and 495 create a desirable and convenient location for medical practices and their patients.
Marcus Partners continues to pursue partnerships with Greater Boston’s premier medical and research institutions for this and other locations. Michael Greeley of Newmark Knight Frank’s medical team is leading the remaining leasing efforts for 5 Branch Street on behalf of Marcus Partners.
