BOSTON– Cushman & Wakefield announced the real estate services firm has bolstered its Boston team with two new hires including Marketing Manager, Melanie Maddox, and Senior Associate, David Thomann, and has also awarded a series of promotions in Q2 of 2021.
“Cushman & Wakefield continues its growth trajectory in Boston by recruiting strategic professionals and elevating our in-house talent,” said Carolyn Sidor, managing principal and New England market leader at Cushman & Wakefield. “I’m proud to recognize these individuals and look forward to their future contributions to our clients and our culture.”
Maddox joins Cushman & Wakefield’s high-performance marketing team with more than 20 years of experience in the architecture/engineering industry helping companies build their brands and communicate effectively through compelling visuals, focused storytelling and messaging. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Maddox served as the marketing manager at SmithGroup, where she was responsible for the development and execution of all marketing and pursuit strategies, communication plans, and programs.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this elite team of experts,” said Maddox. “We’re extremely focused on delivering exceptional support to both our brokerage team and our clients and I’m confident we’ll be able to continue to drive tangible result through our market knowledge, creativity and execution.”
As a senior associate and member of the firm’s Urban Boston leasing group, Thomann will be responsible for helping the firm’s life science and technology clients grow and think strategically about their real estate needs. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Thomann served as a tenant representation broker at T3 Advisors.
“The life sciences industry is a hot topic right now and has been since the onset of the pandemic,” said Thomann. “It’s hard to think about CRE advisory and the life sciences space without thinking about Cushman & Wakefield. I’ve seen firsthand what this team’s capabilities are around the sector and I’m eager to make my contribution.”
