NORTH READING, MA- – Columbia announced the promotion of Chris Hurley to the newly-created position of Director of Field Operations. Hurley has extensive experience as a Superintendent and a Project Manager working on high-profile projects in multiple markets.
“The establishment of this position at Columbia is a step in elevating the employee experience of our Field Staff,” notes Columbia Executive Vice President and COO Andrew Townshend. “Chris, who has been a valuable contributor, is the ideal candidate to help us create meaningful structure and support the development of our Field Operations group.”
The need for this new position was identified through a collaboration of upper management and senior-level field staff. The Director of Field Operations will advocate for, and liaison between field staff and other Columbia departments and leadership, and will identify and champion career development and growth opportunities for field staff, and work to strengthen internal alignment.
