BOSTON- Colliers Senior Financial Analyst Rose Liu is a member of the Colliers US Capital Markets Analytics Group who specializes in financial analytics, financial modeling, debt and structured finance, debt advisory and equity placement, and investment sales to her role.

She has brought a decade of experience in variety of asset classes and has participated in transactions totaling more than $1 billion.

Liu’s recent notable accomplishments were financing a $300 million portfolio comprising retail, industrial and multifamily properties across the US for a large institutional client, as well as a $70 million 10-year, fixed rate refinancing arranged by Colliers’ team of Thomas Welch, Adam Coppola and Liu on behalf of the Research Foundation of the City University of New York, a nonprofit that is both a tenant and the prime owner of the building located at 230 W 41st Street, New York. Another recent transaction was a $19 million refinancing of the S.S. Pierce Building, the iconic mixed-use office and retail property located at 1330-1354 Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA arranged by Colliers’ team of Patrick Boyle, Kevin Phelan and Liu. Prior to moving to Boston, Liu spent more than six and a half years in the Colliers International Long Island Office. During her tenure at Colliers, she analyzed at least 1,000 proposals, leases and investment sales transactions. She helped manage a 4 million square foot real estate portfolio, with over 160 owned and leased locations for a top healthcare institutional client based in Long Island and abstracted and maintained a database of over 160 leases.

Liu recently joined Colliers Diversity & Inclusion as a Community Engagement Lead in the PAN-Asian ERG Network. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Asian Real Estate Professional Association (AREPA)’s New York chapter and is the co-founder of the Boston chapter of the same organization.

Rose Liu: Financial analysis and expanding business relationships

BRET: What is the one thing you attribute your success to?

RL: Dedication.

BRET: To which charitable, community and professional groups do you belong and why?

RL: I was on the Board of Asian Real Estate Professional Association (AREPA) New York Chapter for about 10 years and founded the Boston Chapter a few years ago. AREPA is a non-profit professional association which was founded to provide a forum for Asians in the real estate profession and for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the real estate profession. I am deeply passionate about this organization because I firmly believe in the importance of having a dedicated platform that focuses on commercial real estate while fostering collaboration, resource-sharing, and growth among Asian Americans. It plays a vital role in advancing careers and driving business development within our community.

BRET: In what way do you feel you have most positively influenced or served the local community, your company/organization or professional field?

RL: I recently joined the leadership team of the Colliers ERG Pan-Asian Network, where I organized a 2025 Lunar New Year celebration in the Boston office. In this role, I have been actively driving membership growth and raising awareness of the Pan-Asian Network across the U.S. offices.

BRET: What are your hobbies and interests?

RL: Singing.

BRET: The one person you would like to meet and why?

RL: I have long dreamed of meeting Michelle Wu, the Mayor of Boston as she is the first woman and first person of color to have been elected mayor of Boston. Her success in politics and leadership serve as an inspiring example for many Asian Americans.

BRET: The core values you try to live by?

RL: My core values I try to live by are integrity, empathy, respect, faith, love, hope, excellence and teamwork, which have guided me in my life and work

BRET: What inspires you?

RL: I draw inspiration from many sources, including the pursuit of success, innovation, diversity, and leadership. I am deeply motivated by the idea of making a meaningful difference in the world and driving impactful change that leaves a lasting legacy.
