BRIDGEWATER, MA – Callahan Construction Managers recently partnered with South Shore Habitat for Humanity and local volunteers as part of Habitat for Humanity’s 10th annual National Women Build Week.

Habitat’s National Women Build Week invites women to help make a difference and devote at least one day to help build affordable housing in their local communities. More than 17,000 women volunteered at construction sites across the country as part of Habitat’s 2017 National Women Build Week, which is meant to shine a light on the homeownership challenges that many women face.

“We thank our corporate partners and volunteers who participated in our 10th annual National Women Build Week,” said Martine Taylor, Executive Director of South Shore Habitat for Humanity. “This is a great opportunity for women of all skill levels to come together to help a family build a decent and affordable place they can call home.”  We are grateful to Callahan for their financial and volunteer support of our Stoughton project.”

Callahan is proud to be a long-time supporter of the Habitat for Humanity organization and recognizes the importance of building towards the future. Over the past years, Callahan also sponsored the American Dream Breakfast for Habitat for Humanity, which honors those who have been partners in Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes for low-income families.

“As a leading builder in the region, we value the opportunity to donate our time and skills to those who need it most throughout the community,” Patrick Callahan, President of Callahan said. “We are proud to continue our support of South Shore Habitat for Humanity through hands-on involvement that helps those in need achieve home ownership.”

In addition to their ongoing commitment to “Safety at Every Step”, Callahan has also pledged to support community involvement efforts in the Greater Boston Area through their Constructing Communities program. Callahan engages in community outreach efforts such as buying locally, training/work programs with local schools, volunteering with local nonprofits and charities and sponsoring community events such as National Women Build Week. The Constructing Communities program reflects the family culture of Callahan, in which giving back to the community produces many positive effects, whether it be inspiring young people to get involved locally or serving to support the economy.
