Lecturing and published widely, recent talks included an I2SL presentation on “Decarbonization of Laboratory Buildings in Cold Climates.” His work on mechanical engineering standards with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), forms the benchmarks used by other engineers around the world. Under Swift’s watch, Buro Happold has been named Engineer of the Year for 2021 by a major Boston industry publication.
