Newton, MA – Barkan Management Company announced that it has renewed its contract for three apartment communities owned by the Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) and added three additional properties.
Under the terms, Barkan will now provide accounting and financial services for six apartment communities owned by the CHA, a state-run authority which provides long-term rental housing and rental assistance to more than 5,500+ low-income families, elders and disabled individuals.
Barkan has been providing financial and accounting services for three CHA apartment communities for more than seven years: Lyndon B. Johnson Apartments, Cambridge Affordable Presidential Apartments, and Lincoln Way Apartments. As of January, Barkan will also provide financial and accounting services for Lancaster Street Apartments, New Temple Place, and Essex Street Management.
