BOSTON – NEI General Contracting, Inc, a general contractor and construction management firm, announced that Andy Koines has rejoined the firm as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Andy was previously employed at NEI for 10 years before retiring in December 2020.
Andy’s return is timely, as NEI continues to expand throughout the U.S. with a new location on the way in the South.
Reporting to President Joe Rettman, Andy will plan, develop, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance. In addition, he will evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs and strategies, and regulatory action. As CFO, he will provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends as he assists the management team in developing plans and programs to ensure the continued success of the company.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andy back to the NEI team,” said Joe. “Andy has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the operations of the company and industry, and how each component impacts the financial health of NEI.”
With 37 years of construction accounting experience, Andy has worked in construction for most of his life. He started in the field and moved into accounting after joining a CPA firm after college.
“I so enjoyed working at NEI that I have come out of retirement to rejoin the firm,” said Andy. “The company is comprised of top-notch people from top to bottom. Whether it is human resources, estimating, marketing, risk management, compliance, accounting, or construction management, I enjoy facilitating communication to help everyone be their best and to perform to the highest level on behalf of NEI clients.”
Andy earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island (URI) and an MBA in Accounting from Bryant College. He has served on the board of directors for Caritas Communities, The Sage School, and the Sharon Country Club.
