Acentech Welcomes Four Professional Staff Members to Cambridge Headquarters

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Acentech, a global multi-disciplinary acoustics, audiovisual, IT and security system design and vibration consulting firm, this month welcomed four new consulting and professional staff to its Cambridge headquarters. The additions mark continued growth in acoustics, audiovisual systems design and noise and vibration practices.

  • Andy Carballeira

    Andy Carballeira, Senior Consultant in Architectural Acoustics – As a senior consultant in the Acoustics group, Carballeira brings expertise to Acentech’s national projects involving educational, commercial and residential facilities. His areas of concentration include architectural acoustics, noise and vibration control and environmental acoustics. Carballeira has a decade of acoustics skills and has taught acoustics, physics and mathematics at the New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music and the New England Institute of Art. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Berklee College of Music and was the recipient of the Robert Bradford Newman Medal from the Robert Bradford Newman Student Award Fund.

  • Rob Hnasko

    Rob Hnasko, Senior Consultant in Audiovisual Systems Design – Hnasko brings expertise in audiovisual, IT infrastructure and security design and has over 16 years of experience helping clients better understand the ever-changing, multi-faceted world of technology. His projects with Acentech include an array of markets, from higher education and K-12 buildings to corporate commercial facilities, including data centers. Hnasko received a Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and is a Certified Technology Specialist from Infocomm International.

  • Nick Dragoni, Technical Assistant in Noise and Vibration – Dragoni brings to Acentech skills well-suited for the oversight of highly technical equipment in the instrumentatio

    n labs and will be participating in field measurements. Like many members of the Acentech team, his interest in acoustics and vibration stem from extensive experience in audio recording and production. Dragoni received a Bachelor of Music with a focus in Sound Recording Technology from UMass Lowell.

  • Kat Sanford

    Kat Sanford, Administrative Assistant – Sanford joined Acentech after working as a teacher for three years. Her passion for helping individuals has brought her all over the world, including Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, Ghana, and Dorchester, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Acentech, Sanford served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa working with a village to improve water and sanitation conditions within the community. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
